Just one block further to the west lies Lake Okanagan, the 88 mile long lake that, along with the mountains that line it, creates much of the beautiful scenery the Okanagan is world famous for. The parks situated between the lake and the cultural district
host countless musical and other arts events throughout the summer months, so any visitor to Kelowna and the cultural district would do well to stroll along the boardwalk beside the lake and take in that adjacent scene as well.
It should also be noted that the cultural district begins just one block north of Bernard Ave, which is home to a number of pubs that host live music on a regular basis during normal times. As we all know, these are not normal times, but when things do get back
to normal, places like Doc Willoughby's, Fernando's Pub and O'Flannigan's (which sits right on the border of the district on Queensway Ave) have music several nights a week.
