Music Venues in Kelowna

Arena, Theatres, Pubs, Clubs, Restaurants, etc.

Kelowna is home to dozens of venues that host music events either regularily or occasionally. They include an arena, several theatres, and many pubs and restaurants that have artists or bands playing on the weekends or even more frequently.

The majority of music venues are in the downtown core, but there are many hot spots throughout the city, out on the edges, and in West Kelowna and Lake Country as well.

NOTE - The COVID-19 pandemic and the provincial emergency delcaration have put a hold on live music performances in Kelowna and across BC. As restrictions loosen and live events start getting booked again, this page and others in our music section will begin to fill up again.

The Arena

Prospera Place

1223 Water Street
Kelowna

The arival of Prospera Place put Kelowna solidly on the map for major artists and bands when touring Western Canada. The arena won the award for best venue of its size in all of Canada shortly after opening and has been hosting big concerts ever since.

Past performers have included Bryan Adams, Sting, Elton John, Ray Charles, Chicago, Steve Earle, Matchbox Twenty, Dwight Yoakum and countless others.

Venues We Lost

Doc Willoughby's

Doc's has sold and in its place will be Bernie's, a venue that will be focused on film and which may feature music occassionally. A huge loss to the local music scene as it hosted well over a thousand live music events during its decades as one of the busiest venues in the scene.

See All

House of Rose Winery

House of Rose, under the ownership of Aura Rose, hosted live music events two days a week during the summer months for 8 years. The winery and vineyards have been sold, and the new owners will no longer be even running a winery, let alone hosting live music. A great variety of musicians played House of Rose over the years, and the venue will be missed.
