Ben Klick Releases: “Fishin’ Off The Moon”
BCCMA and international award winning recording artist, Ben Klick, has a brand new single, “Fishin’ Off The Moon”, coming on February 14, 2020. This is the third single for Klick, known as the Guitar Pickin’ Country Gentleman who fuses modern country
sounds with a traditional twist.
Klick, residing in West Kelowna, BC, penned the song with award winning songwriter, Steve Dean; A Nashville based songwriter who co-wrote the 4 week number 1 hit, “Watching You”, by Rodney Atkins. “I was inspired by the Dreamworks character who sits
on the moon before every fairy-tale”, says Klick. “He watches everyone’s story and has seen love work out. I wanted to have a conversation with him to see if he could give me any advice to help with my love story.”
Influenced by traditional country music, Klick was also inspired by BC’s Michael Bublé to create a new sound called “Crooner Country” fusing country music with hints of jazz, big band, and gospel. With this release, Klick is using his time off the
road to record his first full length album which is set to be released at the end of June. “Since my last record in 2018, I’ve lived in Nashville for 8 months, my dad was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and I’ve met a number of people who have
impacted my career and personal life. I want to share my stories of life, love, and family.” Physical copies of the upcoming 10 song album will be available at a few select album release concerts within the Okanagan this Summer. Dates will be announced in the coming months.
Alongside new music, Klick’s “Music Fest MS” annual fundraiser will be coming back on May 30th to YouTube and Shaw TV with artist announcements to coming soon.
