Ben Klick
Country Singer/Songwriter
Ben Klick is a Canadian country music singer/songwriter who lives in West Kelowna. Ben has been performing songs, and writing them, from an early age.
Hearing Klick recount the story of his first live music concert at the tender age of 4 is an absolute joy. His description of being up in the nose-bleeds, watching Shania Twain with his mom and day, and being asked on the way home what he thought of the show.
His instant response of "I want to do that when I'm older" placed a marker on the future direction and determination of this talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist.
With a set of influences that includes Shania Twain, Brian Adams, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Zac Brown Band, Vince Gill, Reba, Brooks and Dunn, and recently crooners Buble and Sinatra, Klick draws from a well that is both deep and wide.
Klick does possess some serious guitar chops, and perhaps that points to both classical guitar lessons beginning at age 5 and the list of guitarists mentioned above as influences. He can play.
From an early initial experience of recording a set of Great Big Sea songs, Klick has moved on to developing his own style as a country artist and writing all his own songs.
Ben has already won 4 BC Country Music Awards, along with 5 International Awards. Additionally, he continues to learn everything he can about the business and then gets down to applying that knowledge to his music and his career. All those things, combined
with his willingness to share freely, make Klick a major force and highly regarded member of the Kelowna country music scene.
