Dave Chobot has been a musician/multi-instrumentalist for most of his life, playing his first gig at age 9.
He’s had the opportunity to play, sing, record, and perform in almost all genres of music in his career, traveling throughout Canada, the United States and South America, performing for audiences as small as 25 and as large as 40,000. He has opened
for the likes of Ricky Skaggs, The Beach Boys and Z.Z. Top and has shared the stage with Martha Reeves of Martha and The Vandellas, Petula Clark, Bo Diddley, and Elvis Presley’s Jordanaires.
Dave had a 16 year run as the music director for a popular dinner theatre in southern Saskatchewan where he was in charge of music production, arranging, and vocal coaching.
In 2013, Dave had the honour of being a contributing co-writer on the album, “In The Blue Light” by Jack Semple, which won a Western Canadian Music award for best blues recording. After countless recording, engineering and producing projects over his
45 year career, he decided to open his own production studio in 2015 and is looking forward to “setting up shop” now that he and his wife Carole have relocated to the Okanagan.
Dave is currently rehearsing with his new Kelowna based trio Theo and the Poetics.
