recipe

I've been making this recipe since 2008 and have never felt the need to change one thing about it. The tahini combined with the cocoa gives it a wonderful umami. Protein and fibre from the chia plus healthy fats make this a perfect snack to satisfy a sweets craving while providing great nutrition.

Number of balls depends on the size you choose to make them.

i n g r e d i e n t s
1 Cup
chia seeds
1/2 Cup
sesame tahini
1/2 Cup
almond butter
1/4 Cup + 1 TBSP
protein powder
6 TBSP
cocoa powder
1/4 tsp
sea salt
1/3 Cup
honey
2 1/2 TBSP
coconut oil
1/4 Cup
shredded coconut
1 tsp
vanilla
1 tsp
almond extract

Keep in the freezer.

Since her husband was forced to remove gluten from his diet in 2014, she began a quest to create great recipes at home to accommodate his new dietary limitation.

These recipes are the result of a lot of trial and error and have become beloved household staples. Enjoy!
