Rebecca Sichon

Singer/Songwriter

Kelowna-based singer/songwriter Rebecca Sichon (SEA - Shon) delivers a blend of R&B, Soul & Jazz in her music. Taking inspiration from the vocal acrobatics of Yebba and the grittiness of Amy Winehouse, Sichon's voice oozes with emotion that captivates listeners.

Her latest release was in collaboration with 604 Records, resulting in two new singles, the first one being "Picking Petals" (2023) which landed on several playlists including Apple Music's "New in Pop" (Germany & Austria) and "The Eh! List by Exclaim!". Soon after, a second release in her authentic brand of R&B "Breaking Free" (2023) was released. "On "Breaking Free", I explore my true love of R&B and soul music, and sing about the importance of breaking out of your restraints," says Sichon.

The ambitious talent has released more than 15 singles, and two EPs, and performed well over 200 shows across North America including Toronto's Canadian Music Week (2022 & 2023). Accolades include winning the Fraser Valley Music Award Pop Artist of the Year (2020 & 2021) and the FVMA R&B Artist of the Year (2022). Sichon's live reputation is growing rapidly thanks partly to her charming, natural stage presence and ability to connect with listeners.

Her latest release was in collaboration with 604 Record's artists and producers, resulting in two new singles, the first one being "Picking Petals" (2023), an exploration of the fun (and not-so-fun) side of the age-old question, "Does he love me? Does he love me not?". The release came along with a powerful live performance video that has accumulated over 40,000 streams so far and landed on several editorial playlists including Apple Music's "New in Pop" (Germany & Austria) and "The Eh! List by Exclaim!". In addition to "Picking Petals", a second release named "Breaking Free" (2023) written in her authentic brand of R&B, Jazz & Soul was released soon after. "On "Breaking Free", I explore my true love of R&B and soul music, and sing about the importance of breaking out of your restraints" continues Sichon. "These themes are always running through my mind when I'm songwriting, and I'm always so inspired by the world of R&B - a world I'm excited to dive further into".

The ambitious talent has released more than 15 singles, and two EPs, and performed well over 200 shows across Canada and the US which includes an unprecedented 26 Sofar Sounds shows making her an alumnus of the Global Music Phenomenon. She showcased on a multitude of stages at Toronto's Canadian Music Week (2022 & 2023) which included opening for the infamous Bif Naked. Accolades include winning the Fraser Valley Music Award Pop Artist of the Year (2020 & 2021) and the FVMA R&B Artist of the Year (2022). With a promising recording career ahead of her and a growing live reputation thanks partly to her charming, natural stage presence, Rebecca Sichon is primed to break out of Canada and into the wider world.
