with Covid still active and new restrictions in place, we are choosing to do mini "photo reviews" for as many shows as we can this year

restrictions limit us to grabbing a few shots during the first 2 or 3 songs and then we need to be on our way

Smitten

Smitten delivered some gorgeous vocal harmonies and unique takes on the songs and artists they were covering during the few tunes we were able to catch. With Kim being a vocal coach and instructor, and Jim having been involved in or leading bands for many years, this should come as no surprise, yet I was surprised none the less.

Jim is one of the best rock guitarists in town, and even in this acoustic set his chops were always at the ready.

Solid groove, great arrangements, and the addition of bassist Cyril Schermann for this gig, perhaps allowed an extra measure of vocal freedom for Kim as she often plays bass or keys on all their songs. Whatever the secret formula was today, it resulted in a joy bringing elixir to those who came out to take in this live music event here in Kelowna.
