Revelry were kind enough to invite us in during their soft launch and we were more than happy to come and listen to some artists and grab some shots in this exciting new room.

we ended up shooting 22 performances there those first 2 weeks

Michael Averill is always fun to watch and listen to. That makes him fun to shoot as well. Catching him at Revelry during their soft launch was a total blast.

Averill always has something new to spring on both suspecting and unsuspecting fans alike. Decades of writing and touring and performing experience and experiences along with a unique ability to tell the stories around his travels and express them through song keeps one listening intently. Makes one wonder if there is a bottom to the well of stories that he pulls from.

An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Averill kept it simple and played the set on acoustic guitar. In later sets over the two weeks he would play electric guitar, piano, and even cello.

It was very exciting starting to get a feel for the room and what the unique architecture and design would allow me to utilize in my attempt to capture essence. Altogether too much fun.
