With Joshua Smith being the great songwriter that he is, it is easy to forget how good he is at interpreting other artists tunes. His gig with Nico Boesten at The Curious Cafe reminded me just how good he is at that as well.

Smith and Boesten have been friends for a long time, and part of that freindship has included doing music together. Both musicians seemed to be enjoying themselves while we were there grabbing a few shots on Friday night in the hidden outdoor patio behind the restaurant, at least the ear-to-ear grins they were sporting would suggest that. Each took turns handling the lead vocal with the other lending support on their instruments or with background vocals or harmonies.

Smith has secured Friday nights for the foreseeable future there, and has committed to bringing in musical guests to perform with on each of those evenings. He also plays solo each Wednesday night, so there are many opportunities to catch one of Kelowna's best musicians and songwriters for those ready to venture out and into an outdoor, socially distanced environment.
