with Covid still active and new restrictions in place, we are choosing to do mini "photo reviews" for as many shows as we can this year

restrictions limit us to grabbing a few shots during the first 2 or 3 songs and then we need to be on our way

Bex

Josh + Bex is the perfect mix of east coast and west coast, and seasoned veteran and newcomer. Together they create a new sound that draws from deep, ancient feelings and places.

On this beautiful Sunday afternoon, the best of them seemed to somehow just emanate without effort and wash over the gathered folk without getting anybody wet. Very relaxed delivery of songs packed with meaning.

It is very rare to hear larger groups where they create complex and beautiful, intricate harmonies. Also rare is finding a pair of vocalists whose voices just meld together so nicely, so completely that whatever the harmony notes might have been, it was the way they sounded together that displayed the intimacy and artistry. That is how Josh + Bex sounded at Barn Own Brewing this spring afternoon.
