with Covid still active and new restrictions in place, we are choosing to do mini "photo reviews" for as many shows as we can this year

restrictions limit us to grabbing a few shots during the first 2 or 3 songs and then we need to be on our way

Jeff Piattelli did a couple of solo sets up at The Vibrant Vine on a rather cool Saturday afternoon. There was actually sleet falling on and around me and my camera as Piattelli toughed it out up on stage. Massive bravery points for delivering in the cold and sleet.

He opened with a mix of covers and originals, and I managed to catch Piano Man, Straight From The Heart, and an original he wrote for his young son entitled "Till The Day I Die (Leo's Song)", which is a beautiful song that captures and expresses the love of a father for his newborn child.

I quite enjoyed his take on Straight From The Heart. There are a handful of local artists that do an exceptional job of making covers their own. Jeff Piattelli is definitely one of them.
