What is an open mic?

An open mic is an event when professionals and amateurs alike can take turns sharing a couple songs or some spoken word pieces or comedy bits, depending on the given open mic event. Several venues around Kelowna are hosting them on a regular basis now, and for the most part the turnouts have been very good.

What is a jam night?

Jam nights typically allow for musicians who may or may not know each other to get up on stage and play together. Some jams provide drums and amps, but other than that you are encouraged to bring your own instruments.
