with Covid still active and new restrictions in place, we are choosing to do mini "photo reviews" for as many shows as we can this year

restrictions limit us to grabbing a few shots during the first 2 or 3 songs and then we need to be on our way

Jeremy Messenger was called in by The Vibrant Vine to sub at the last minute for a musician who wasn't allowed to travel up due to the new Covid-related travel restrictions. No worries, Messenger had it covered.

Every time we have seen him play, he has offered a different side of himself, and seems to draw from an endless supply of memorized songs. On this particular afternoon, he opened with a bunch of Beatles tunes, including a version of "Something" on the ukelele.

It was fun to watch as he adjusted his set to the wants and whims, and ultimately the delight, of the sparse crowd at the beginning of the show. With the current restrictions, we always leave after 3 or 4 songs, so hopefully more people dropped in to catch him do his thing. Not sure what to call it, but it's always different, and it's always done well. Great subbing, Jeremy.
